The home is in a gorgeous location. Peaceful and surrounded by fields of gold.The house itself is over 200 yrs so it’s definitely rustic. Both the bedrooms and the bathrooms were very clean and comfortable.Thomas, the host, was extremely responsive and kind. He even brought us a cup of flour for our pizzas. Beautiful private grounds, fascinating old farmhouse, with lots of room. Our host was proactively helpful with directions. The house provided for all our needs. Our stay was brief, but I wished it could have been longer.  We all (5 couples) enjoyed our stay, although 2 couples felt that their beds could use replacing. Our family stay at Roscroft was perfect. We all loved the authentic charm of this unique, meandering farm house. The many rooms and three floors were fun to explore, and our grandchildren each found their own perfect place to sleep. This gracious house is simply organized and complete with anything you could possibly need. The grounds were tree lined, bird and butterfly filled and private, all is well kept with a rambling brook that wraps around the back. We loved the fire pit, and used the grill. Overall the stay was great. Amazing place in nature with a creek running through the backyard. Awesome for a family get together. The house is a beautiful old country farm house - an historic gem, well stocked and definitely as advertised! We had a fabulous family reunion at Thomas's Estate, comfortably filling the house with 13 people (11 adults and 2 kids). Thomas was incredibly attentive to questions, and immediately brought extra blankets when the temps dipped. The house has multiple vintage rooms for sitting and visiting. The porch was awesome for coffee, drinks, and sharing time together. There are 3 staircases, a couple spiral ones, and we all enjoyed exploring this house, being mindful of the steps.The issue that concerned my family, was not related to Thomas' home at all, but ratherAirbnb price increases with any additional person added- that is, even with the rental of this entire house, each person adds an additional cost to whatever the base rate is, which we had not experienced with previous rentals. The grounds are spectacular--secluded, lush, scenic, peaceful. The house was large enough for everyone in our reunion group to have their own room (7 people!). I live locally and did not stay over, but everyone said their beds were very comfy! There apparently was an electrical outage one evening while we were out, and Thomas was sure to let us know about it, though power was on by the time we returned.The many choices of communal spaces, both indoor and out, really enhanced our reunion. we had a great family & friends weekend! the house was perfect, just as described. Tom was very responsive and welcoming. we enjoyed a couple great local restaurants and access to Williamstown is quick and easy. kids loved the yard and exploring the brook nearby. highly recommend for a large family gathering.

This place is a heaven on earth! Sitting on the covered porch drinking coffee in the morning was heavenly. The rooms are fully furnished, beds comfortable and clean. The kitchen (there are TWO!) are great to work in and offer all the amenities you'd expect. We were greeted with kindness.
